Media representatives in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia honored businessman Mr. Mofleh Al-Haftaa, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Shamas Holding Group, during a ceremony held in the capital, Riyadh, at the Fairmont Hotel on Saturday, September 20, 2025. The event was attended by more than 200 male and female media professionals, along with a number of diplomats and prominent media figures, in appreciation of his distinguished career and notable initiatives in supporting Saudi and satellite media over the past five years.

Representatives from the Union of Arab Producers and the Arab Broadcasting Authority, as well as a number of business figures in Riyadh, also participated in honoring him. The event was also attended by the Saudi Association of Producers and Distributors, senior broadcasting officials, a number of renowned directors, top Arab producers, and prominent journalists.

He received special recognition from the Union of Arab Producers and the Arab Broadcasting Authority, affiliated with the League of Arab States.

Mr. Mofleh Al-Haftaa is considered one of the leading investors in the infrastructure of media production, satellite broadcasting, and satellites in the region. He founded the Media City under the Shamas Group, which includes the world’s largest filming studio dedicated to media production. He has also made major investments inside and outside the Kingdom in modern technologies, media cities, and the development of national talent, strengthening Saudi Arabia’s position as a leading regional hub in the media industry.

The participating media professionals affirmed that this honor is in recognition of Al-Haftaa’s contributions and ongoing efforts in serving Saudi media, noting that he is one of the pioneers in the media and satellite broadcasting industry.

At the same time, he presents a modern and innovative model that aligns with global transformations and supports the development of digital media and satellite broadcasting.

Attendees praised the achievements Al-Haftaa has accomplished in a short period, including building an integrated Arab media system, attracting outstanding global and Saudi expertise, and localizing major international television programs within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. They confirmed that his journey represents a significant addition to the Saudi, Gulf, and Arab media landscape.
